GP Registrars

As of 1st February 2023, we will become a a training practice, so you may see another doctor known as a GP registrar.

A GP registrar is a qualified doctor who is training to become a General Practitioner through a period of working and training in a practice environment. They will usually have spent at least two years working in a hospital before you see them in a practice and are closely supervised by a senior GP and/or trainer.

You will be advised if an appointment is with a GP registrar and you will have the choice to have an appointment with another member of the clinical team if you prefer.

As part of their training they are required to record some of their consultations on video. These recordings are normally only seen by the doctor and his or her trainer and will only be made or viewed with your permission.

Any questions relating to this, please do not hesitate to contact us on 01748 876090.
