Our GPs
Dr Stephen Wild – GP
Dr Wild is a Senior GP for Harewood Medical Practice. Amongst his clinical specialisms and interests he leads the practice’s no scalpel vasectomy service for which we have contracts for patients in North Yorkshire, County Durham Dales and Armed Services (North).
Dr Sarah Winter – GP
Sarah worked as a GP in Middlesbrough for seven years before joining the Harewood team in August 2022. She enjoys all aspects of primary care, with a particular interest in medical education. Her usual working days are Monday to Wednesday and Friday.
Dr Chris Webb – GP
Dr Webb has worked in the area for the last 25 years. He is a very experienced GP whose main interests are in GP education. As well as clinical commitments to the practice, he is a trainer of GP’s and a programme director for Health Education England and an examiner for the Royal College of GPs.

Darrel Mulholland – Advanced Nurse Practitioner
Darrel has worked around Hambleton and Richmondshire as a qualified District Nurse and then as a Community Specialist Practitioner in Darlington prior to joining us as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner. Darrel can diagnose patient problems, issue prescriptions and refer patients to consultants in secondary care.
Sam Cotgrave – Advanced Nurse Practitioner
I am an advanced nurse practitioner and qualified midwife with many years experience in the Hambleton and Richmondshire area including the Army and civilian GP practices and also continue my work with the Out of Hours GP service. I can diagnose, treat and manage all conditions including referrals to secondary care.
Howard Neale – Nurse Practitioner
Howard has worked internationally for many years as an offshore medic based on drilling rigs in many parts of the world. He can carry out a very wide range of clinical assessments and treatments for patients of all ages.
Abigail Macmillan – Practice Nurse
Abi is the Lead Nurse for the practice. She has been qualified for over 22 years and has experience in primary and secondary care. Abi has a keen interest in cardiovascular disease, especially in educating patients about reducing their risks. Abi also has a keen interest in woman’s health and is passionate about increasing the uptake on cervical screening, especially ladies coming for their first smears.
Kelly Glaister – Practice Nurse
Kelly spent 22 years working as a military nurse before joining us, giving her primary care experience across the world. She has a keen interest, and specialist qualifications, in respiratory care. She is also the infection control and immunisation lead for the practice.
Emma Stanley – Practice Nurse
Emma has worked in Primary Care for many years. She has undertaken additional training in chronic disease management -Diabetes and Cardiovascular Disease, cervical screening, child and adult vaccinations; and complex wound care including Leg Ulcer management. Emma is passionate about promoting patient centred care, supporting each patient to understand their own health needs, and encouraging everyone to adopt a healthy lifestyle
Joy Parrington – Bank Practice Nurse
Joy has specialist skills in respiratory medicine and also helps with our smear clinics and childhood vaccinations and immunisations.
Janet Singleton – Diabetes Specialist Nurse
Janet provides specialist care for patients with diabetes.

Our management team
Stephen Brown – CEO of Heartbeat
Stephen is a qualified accountant by profession who has held a number of senior finance roles in the NHS and public sector housing. He also worked as a consultant for PriceWaterhouseCoopers in their public sector team. Stephen is a director of Heartbeat Alliance, our local GP federation.
Emma Crumpler – Business Operations Manager
Emma has previously worked in the UK and internationally in various management positions, most recently at Cummins Ltd. Emma brings extensive knowledge of business operations, management and continuous improvement experience and skills to the practice.
